Operations Chart - short version

The operations chart shows a lot of information about the manufacturing process on one page. It shows the raw material, the buyouts, the fabrication sequence, the assembly sequence, the equipment needs, the time standards, the plant layout, labour costs, plant schedule. The operations chart consists of a circle for each operation required to fabricate each part, to assembly each part to the final assembly and package the part on one piece of paper. Operations charts shows the introduction of raw materials at the top of the page on a horizontal line, below the material line a vertical line is drawn connecting the circles.
