Changeover Time - short version

(1) The time required to modify a system or workstation, usually including both teardown time for the existing condition and setup time for the new condition.

(2) A process in which a production device is assigned to perform a different operation or a machine is set up to make a different part, for example, a new plastic resin and new mold in an injection molding machine. OR Switching from producing one part/product to another is generally known as a changeover.
