Autoclave moulding - short version

After lay-up, the entire assembly is placed in a steam autoclave at 50-100 psi (air-or nitrogen-pressurised autoclave for advanced composites). Additional pressure with vacuum applied on the mould will give additional consolidation for the laminates and removal of excessive entrapped air and excessive resin.
